Jinyoung Lee
Jinyoung Lee founded Now Production Films with a mission to create meaningful films that bridge cultures and uplift communities. She has focused on telling the powerful stories of Korean immigration to Hawai‘i through history, art, and music.
After earning a Journalism and Multimedia degree from Ewha Womans University in Seoul, she moved to Hawai‘i in 2005 to pursue journalism. Her debut film, Words of Wisdom from the Rainbow State, earned numerous awards and is archived at the Korean Film Makers Museum in Seoul.
Her latest work, Songs of Love from Hawai‘i, is a bilingual music film that blends three moving immigrant stories with performances by four world-class musicians.
Jinyoung has been recognized by South Korea’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and awarded Best Emerging Filmmaker by the Liberty International Movie Festival and the Tagore International Film Festival. She continues to inspire global audiences through her creative and heartfelt storytelling.
