Violinist Ignace “Iggy” Jang who performed in Songs of Love serves as concertmaster of the Hawai‘i Symphony Orchestra. His performances have received praise in the United States, South America, Europe, and Asia for its excellent sense of style, impressive musicianship, and uniquely beautiful timbre. Born to Korean parents in Grenoble, France, Jang began violin studies at the age of five. A graduate of the Paris Conservatory, he earned an Artist Diploma degree from Indiana University and went on to serve as a visiting scholar. A multiple prize winner, Jang’s performing experience includes such venues as the Théatre des Champs-Elysées in Paris and the Seoul Arts Center.

His illustrious career spans renowned orchestras from London to Moscow, collaborating with conductors like François-Xavier Roth and Yannick Nézet-Séguin. As a Universal/DG recording artist, O’Neill's nine solo albums have sold over 200,000 copies. His chamber music initiative, DITTO, illuminates audiences in South Korea and Japan, reflecting his passion for music education. Recognized by the New York City Council, he was Juilliard's first violist to earn the artist diploma, and he actively supports humanitarian causes as a Goodwill Ambassador for the Korean Red Cross, Special Olympics, and UNICEF.

Renowned violinist Chee-Yun has graced prestigious stages worldwide, earning acclaim for her concerto solos and chamber performances in the U.S. and abroad. Born in Seoul, South Korea, in 1970, Chee-Yun began concertizing at the age of eight and continued her studies at the Juilliard School in New York, guided by luminaries like Dorothy DeLay and Hyo Kang. Overcoming initial challenges, including language barriers, she triumphed by winning the Young Concert Artists International Auditions in 1989, leading to a Carnegie Hall recital debut. Chee-Yun's versatile career includes collaborations with esteemed orchestras, including the San Francisco Symphony and NHK Symphony, and she has been a prominent figure at renowned summer festivals like Spoleto USA, Ravinia, and Aspen. Serving as artist-in-residence and professor at Southern Methodist University from 2007 to 2017, she has also shared her expertise at institutions such as the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and Indiana University, solidifying her legacy as an influential and versatile violinist.

Keola was one of the first to use Hawaiian slack key techniques to create contemporary music that is also at home on jazz or classical stages. His wife Moanalani Beamer joins Keola in performances with her beautiful hula and the exquisite sounds of traditional Hawaiian instruments.
